Indie Lab Creative is a Dallas-based nonprofit supporting the creative and comedic community. Our goal is to foster a creative, innovative, and warm environment that welcomes a pure celebration of all things performance!
Hi, we're The Idiots! We're a group of friends and performers based in DFW. We like long walks on the beach and Little Debbie snacks. All of us have been at this comedy thing for a while now, with a total combined experience of about 6,000 years. No foolin'!
'Idiots' may sound like a silly name, but it actually stands for Independent Dallas Improv On TuesdayS! In 2022, we started a little project called Indie Night: a quarterly special event showcasing and celebrating Dallas' vibrant comedy scene. And that show happens (you guessed it) on Tuesdays!
Two years and nine shows later, we are proud to say Indie Night has brought live, homegrown comedy to multiple iconic local theaters and featured over 140 performers on the stage. We are so grateful to the comedy community for helping us sustain this show and proving what is possible through creativity and collaboration.
As we jump into 2025, we're excited to explore new ideas and bring some fresh projects to the table. We are stoked, jazzed, and razzmatazzed to announce the recent launch of Indie Lab Creative (ILC), a Dallas-based performing arts collective that will serve as a larger umbrella for all Idiot projects, including Indie Night and DICF. Plus more as we grow!
Our mission has always been to serve the community, through opportunity, support, and connection. Launching ILC and our inaugural festival will give us (and you!) even more opportunities to create and connect.
We are working super dang hard behind the scenes to bring this festival to life, y'all! In true Idiot fashion, it promises to be a full weekend of goofy fun and slimy surprises. Mark your calendars, cancel your plans, get a cat sitter–whatever you need to do to be there with us! Capisce?
